Cookbook Book Club

Currently looking for participants!

Third Saturday, monthly

A cook book club is a cross between a book club and a potluck. Each month we will will choose a book, and on the day of the meeting everybody will come to the library and bring one of the recipes from the book to share with the club. We’ll meet and eat and chat about the book and whatever else happens to come up.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE…

  1. Sign up: call the library or email katherine@scituatelibrary.org with your name and phone number. Currently, we are limiting it to 12 members.
  2. Get the book: You can place your own hold, or we will order the book for you—you’ll get an email, call, or text when it arrives, just like any other library book.
  3. Pick a recipe: Go through the book and find some recipes you would like to make!
  4. Tell us what you picked: Call us (or email Katherine) to tell her what recipe you choose. You can take as long as you want to decide, up to the day before the meeting, but once someone chooses a recipe, no one else is allowed to make it and you’ll have to pick again.
  5. Come to club and share your recipe! Talk about what you loved or hated about it, and sample everyone else’s creations.
