Well… On May 1st, OverDrive will be completely discontinued. This means patrons will NOT be able to access the app on their phones or tablets anymore. But no fear! Masks are now optional at the library, but welcome. A mask is especially appreciated if you haven’t been vaccinated. We will still be offering masks at the Main Circulation desk if you wish to wear one. Curbside pick-up is still available. You can call ahead and order whatever books or topics you’re interested in, and we’ll leave them for you in a paper bag. For curbside pickup, call 401-647-5133 whenever we are open, and someone will pack up what you need and check it out to you.

After a one-year hiatus, the Scituate Art Festival is returning, and the library is excited to be there with you, October 9-11! Our Board of Trustees’ book sale will be back and better than ever! Except for the library itself, the book sale is the best way to get your hands on something to read without spending a lot of money – and it supports the library, too. Please remember that masks are mandatory at the library if you are not vaccinated. That includes all children under the age of 12! If you choose not to wear a mask, we will gladly bring you any items that you need at curbside. You can even call ahead and order whatever you want – even if it’s something vague like “children’s books about dogs” or “superhero movies” – we can help. We’re actually really good at it! For curbside pickup, call 401-647-5133 whenever we are open, and someone will pack up what you need and check it out to you.
