Presented by author, lecturer and television personality, Carl Leonard Johnson. Hosted by North Scituate Public Library
Saturday, October 25th at 1 PM
Halloween, October 31st, is a Faux-holiday considering you won’t necessarily have that date free from school nor that evening off work, but it is a tradition which many Americans happily anticipate, involving frolicking such as dressing-up in costumes, parties, scary movies, and for the younger folks: “Trick or Treating!” Regardless of its spooky allure, few persons regard the festive occasion with much seriousness. It’s been around for quite some time. Our great-grandparents celebrated Halloween. Just look through the old family photo albums. Observed just one evening per year, we wouldn’t want to be without this fun-filled occasion! But, have you never wondered how it all got started? Might this fun-time have entailed somewhat more ominous, shadowy beginnings?
You are cordially invited to join paranormal authority and researcher of arcane lore Carl Leonard Johnson, who spent his boyhood as a resident of Scituate, RI, on a journey to explore the historic and somewhat murky origins of what in olden times was called, “Samhain” (Celtic word pronounced, Sow’an) and some centuries ago dubbed, All-Hallow’s Eve. This hour in the Library is intended to grant you some new perspectives on the final evening in October! Program is suitable for adults and children. Those attending should feel welcome to don their Halloween costuming a tad early!!
Panorama Paranormal was created in January, 2019 by Elise Giammarco Carlson (Director, certificate holder from Parapsychological studies at Duke University) and Carl L. Johnson (Co-founder, author, Demonologist) to provide a unique forum for the documentation and exploration of various phenomena and reported anomalies. While Panorama Paranormal will consult colleagues and specialists, this is a departure from the group format. Not limited to ghost hunting, we research diverse subjects such as apparitions, speculative Quantum physics, reports of hauntings/paranormal occurrences, evidence of life-after-death, inexplicable disappearances: human and animal, and discrepancies in historic time lines. Panorama Paranormal is available for lecture bookings and paranormal investigations. For further information, contact Elise and Carl at email address panoramaparanormal@gmail.com
