North Scituate Advent Christian Church is a Bible centered evangelical church providing weekly worship services; teen ministry, children’s ministry; home Bible studies; a MOPS (Mothers Of PreSchoolers) group that meets bi-monthly. We also provide the Alpha Course, a 13 week introduction to the Christian faith. Church services are held Sunday mornings at 10:00am September through May. Gentian Garden Club, Inc.

Gentian Garden Club, Inc. was organized in March 1935. The objectives of the Club are to develop a working knowledge of all phases of gardening, to preserve and protect the environment, to encourage civic planting and to develop the art of flower arranging.
Membership is open to adult residents of Scituate and adjoining towns. Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the North Scituate Community House at 7:00 p.m., except during summer recess of July and August. In November, December and February, meeting dates may change due to the holidays. Members must attend a minimum of 5 meetings per year. Dues are $25.00.

The Scituate Conservation Commission is a town commission whose mission it is to promote and develop the town’s natural resources, to protect watershed resources and to conserve the natural aesthetic areas within the town and to acquire land for conservation or recreational activities. The Commission meets the second Tuesday of each month.

We have a Recycle for Sight program where we collect used glasses, sun glasses and reading glasses. There are collection boxes at Brigido’s in Scituate, the General Country Store in Hope, and both the Hope and North Scituate libraries.

Brief Description (when do you meet, for what purpose, etc): We provide support for music programs at Scituate High School, helping raise funds for students to attend events and adjudications and advocating for band, orchestra, jazz, and chorus programs in Scituate schools. The committee meets on the second Monday of most months in the Media Center of Scituate High School. We raise and manage money used for scholarships for Scituate residents who are graduating from high school and attending post-secondary institutions.
Applications will be available on April 1 through the Guidance Office at Scituate High School.
