Masks are mandatory at the library, regardless of vaccination status. This means everyone over the age of 2 needs to be masked in the building. If you choose not to wear a mask, we will gladly bring you any items that you need at curbside. You can call ahead and order whatever books or topics you’re interested in, and we’ll leave them for you in a paper bag. For curbside pickup, call 401-647-5133 whenever we are open, and someone will pack up what you need and check it out to you.

After a one-year hiatus, the Scituate Art Festival is returning, and the library is excited to be there with you, October 9-11! Our Board of Trustees’ book sale will be back and better than ever! Except for the library itself, the book sale is the best way to get your hands on something to read without spending a lot of money – and it supports the library, too. This event wouldn’t be possible without the community’s great donations, our Board, and the time spent by our volunteer book sorters and everyone who signs up to carry the big heavy boxes.

We are excited to offer Ancestry Library Edition in our building!   Click here for access! This service is an awesome way to find old records for your family, from vital records and census data, to more interesting ephemera like draft cards and high school yearbook photos. Take a look around and see what you can find! Ancestry Library is totally different from the personal edition of Ancestry, so it might be a little confusing. Don’t worry – during the summer, Katherine will be posting a lot of tutorials and hosting Q&A sessions to help people get into the service.
