Do you or someone in your family have stories to tell? Let us help you “find your voice” through our North Scituate Oral History Project! What is an oral history? It’s an interview between you and another person that we help record and preserve for the future. You might talk about your family history, a fun memory, or something you want future generations to remember about Scituate. Registration required for a time slot.
Can you get through the wacky 9-hole mini golf course that Miss Alyce & Leah set up through the library? Come find out! Registration required for a time slot.
Russ DeSimone returns to our library with magic tricks that will wow you!
Join us to celebrate the fun we had over summer with treats from Alien Ice Cream. Anyone with a golden ticket will get a free small frozen goodie!
The Great Scituate Bake Off has arrived, which means we're inviting patrons of all ages to bring their best "showstopper" bakes to the library for some friendly competition! The assignment: bake and decorate your most creative, tasty cake that celebrates something you love, then bring it to the library to share with others and submit for judging. Registration is required. Bring your sweet tooth and your most amazing self.
All grades welcome. Play games, have snacks, and meet up with homeschoolers in the community. No registration required.
Ever wondered what’s in those cool kits hanging near the front desk of the library? Want to know more about our telescope, projector, podcasting kit, novelty cake pans, and candy molds that you can check out with your library card? The library is hosting a “Library of Things” open house where you can stop in to browse all our “things” in one place, ask questions, and explore in more depth what the library has to offer. Drop-in; no registration required. All ages welcome.
