Requirements: (1) You need to have a computer or device that can get on a Zoom meeting, and some way to access your character sheet at the same time. (2) No experience is necessary, you don't even need to own dice (3) Anyone in 6th grade or older (including adults) is welcome. Everyone must be aware that you may be playing with someone much younger or older than you, and respect their creative input. Learn about the equipment you need, how to turn an idea into a show, how to host your show, and more. (Video will be posted here and to our YouTube channel on July 6th.) Then, at 3pm on the 21st, join reference librarian and resident podcaster Katherine for a virtual question and answer session. Genealogy Q&A session

This year, the library subscribed to Ancestry Library Edition. This summer, Katherine is running a series of genealogy workshops to help you learn how to make the best of it and the library's other genealogy resources. Learn your family's tale, preserve it for the future, and share it with the world. The workshops will be released as videos to watch on demand on our YouTube channel, and there will be live virtual Q&A sessions on July 6, 20, and 27 at 6pm over Zoom. Scituate residents are encouraged to share what they find - we'll be scheduling oral history appointments

Adult Take and Make Craft

Adults - if you have been missing craft nights in the pandemic - we are going to start offering monthly take-and-make crafts in the vestibule. Stop by on September 14 and get everything you need to make a paper chain wall hanging. It's an easy to make, brightly-colored, pretty decoration to put up in your office. It's good to work on alone or with a friend or family member. Your kit will include: Multicolored paper strips Glue A wooden dowel String for hanging Instructions If you participate, we would love if you sent pictures of your finished craft to Katherine

Q plus – Queer Book Club

We have a new book group forming, to read queer fiction, history, and biography! When is this happening? We will be meeting on the final Thursday of every month, at 7pm. Our next meeting is on July 29, and we will be reading Ace: what asexuality reveals about desire, society, and the meaning of sex by Angela Chen. How do I get my book? The library borrows several copies of the book we're reading each month from other libraries around the state. You can go to the front desk and ask for the queer book club book or the adult

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Art Festival

Outside the Library 606 West Greenville Rd, N Scituate, RI

In an effort to assist the State with its goal of vaccinating more Rhode Islanders against COVID-19, we have partnered with the Governor and the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) to host a free vaccination clinic for attendees of the Scituate Art Festival. The clinic will be held in a tent on library grounds, right near our book sale tent. Vaccine providers will be here for all three days of the festival, October 9-11 between the hours of 12:00pm and 4:00pm. The Pfizer vaccine, which is authorized for individuals ages 12 and older, will be available. Participants will also
