Mystery and Imagination: A Birthday Tribute to Edgar Allan Poe

Hosted by Poe and Lovecraft Society of RI. January 19th, 2024 marks the 215th anniversary of the birth of America's misfit poet, Edgar Allan Poe. This tribute, presented by the Poe and Lovecraft Society of Rhode Island, will celebrate the history and legacy of Mr. Poe, presenting selections of his writings, a brief biography, and works inspired by his unique place in the arc of American literature. Beginning at 2pm on the 20th of January, the event should last an hour, with time for questions and discussion after. About the Poe and Lovecraft Society of RI  Beginning with Carl Johnson's

Pick from three cookbooks that draw from old-school historical recipes and try your hand at cooking food from a different decade. The books: Tasting History by Max Miller, Baking Yesteryear by Dylan Hollis, and The Gilded Age Cookbook by Becky Diamond.
